Field Notes

Habitat:

This specimen was caught in an edge of a river, on an island in the middle of the river that across my city, a region of transiiton between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

Some friends of mine, and I, are doing some researches of bats, then we decide teach a course about Neotropical Chiropteran in my city. The "Sturnira lilium" have a frugivorous diet.

Nice spotting! It must be nice doing this type of research. I love bats and feel sorry for their undeserved bad rep. People needs to learn how important they are for entire ecosystems! :-)
