Description:

Every few years, large concentrations of jellyfish-like animals called By-The-Wind Sailors (Velella velella) wash up on the coast of British Columbia, Canada.

Habitat:

By-The-Wind Sailors, also known as Sail Jellyfish, are related to Portuguese Men-Of-War but aren't known to sting humans.

Ava, unfortunately it seems they all die on the shore. Most jellyfish and related creatures can't survive very well once taken out of water... Hopefully something eats them so they are "recycled"!
