Field Notes

Description:

Creamy white branched fungus on a leaf-littered trail. My husband said it was more of a pure white color two weeks prior. It has been hot and dry these past weeks, so it likely became dessicated. This mushroom was covered in springtails.

Habitat:

Leaf-littered trail under mixed hardwoods. A plethora of other fungi in the vicinity.
