Field Notes

Habitat:

Sagebrush bush on open habitat of grasses, wildflowers, scattered pines and aspens.

Notes:

These butterflies were roosting at sunset on one plant. Many Sagebrush plants were nearby but had no butterflies. There must have been a couple dozen on this plant. Their larval host plant Wild Buckwheat ' Eriogonum' was abundant all around.
