Field Notes

Description:

Firm cap with almost leathery feel. If you press your finger to the cap your print is left behind. These were small--note the berry for scale, but a cap maybe 20cm across was nearby on a more mature mushroom.

Habitat:

Cedar forest with oaks mxed in.

Notes:

No strong smell.
