Description:

Wasp with all red body parts; blue tinted wings; very long antennae; ovipositor about 15mm long; overall about 50mm long including antennae.

Habitat:

Resting in leaves of a Solanaceae in a small suburban nature reserve.

Notes:

A wasp that looks like a red grasshopper.
