Field Notes

Description:

Blue eyes and pink beak contrast beautifully, white whiskery feathers line the cheeks over a dark head, dark brown streaked back and lighter streaked body over white. Wings and tail edged in white. Beak tipped with black.

Habitat:

Found throughout most of Australia except far east coastline and far north regions. Prefers woodland and desert regions with some shrub growth.
