I would also say Leptoglossus sp., I only know Zonatus which is quite common, but probably not so far in the north? http://bugguide.net/node/view/56813 http://www.asergeev.com/pictures/k/Leptoglossus_Zonatus.htm But I am not an expert in these kind of bugs...

This is the closest species I could find: http://bugguide.net/node/view/43239. I can't see the tylus in your photo though, which could clinch the ID, so I'm hesitant to say 100% that this is what your spotting is. Do you have anymore pictures?

It's a leaf-footed bug in the family Coreidae. That nice zigzag pattern will probably be helpful in IDing it.
