Description:

Black chicken-like body with a white bill. Yellow legs with lobed feet.

Habitat:

Aquatic.

Notes:

I saw these coots flocking with a group of mallards and other ducks on the lakeshore. They were more bold than their web-footed friends, presumably because they could make a quicker getaway.
