Field Notes
Description:
These mating hoverflies are yellow with black stripes on the abdomen. The wings are clear other than one small portion on the outer wing. The eyes are large and red. Unfortunately they flew away before I could see the pattern on the abdomen to ID them.
Habitat:
Orange tree leaf in the backyard.
Notes:
The top one was struggling to hold on to the leaf so it quickly let go and flew away.
