Description:

The Australian water dragon (Intellagama lesueurii, formerly Physignathus lesueurii, which includes the eastern water dragon (I. l. lesueurii) and the Gippsland water dragon (I. l. howittii) subspecies.

This lizard was basking on a stone in the garden of an outdoor restaurant, when all of a sudden it shot off the stone onto the ground and grabbed an insect. It then remained motionless on the ground for a while till the people walking past got too close, then he returned to the garden.

Semi tropical rainforest garden in an outdoor restaurant
