Description:

The Damon Blue is a lycaenid butterfly found in Central Europe and temperate parts of Asia. A lover of open grassy locations with flowers, it is found in isolated colonies in mountain habitats.

Habitat:

Dry meadow, sub-alpine level, alt. 1700m ASL.

Notes:

A distinctive feature of this species is a strong white underside streak, for both sexes.
