Description:

Its wingspan is 2.2 cm. on average there are smaller specimens measuring up to 1.8 cm and not more than 2.4 cm in males.

Habitat:

This butterfly is associated with Tropical forests perenni and subperennifolios and cloud forest, mainly from 500 to 1300 meters; flies open and closed spaces, often in the wet sand of the beaches of streams and rivers.

It is a beautiful Butterfly. Fantastic spotting, EduardoAxelRecillasBautista. It will ever be in my fondest memories the day I spotted a Rhetus arcius, a couple of years ago.
