Field Notes

Description:

Zebras are native to Sub-Saharan Africa. They are easily identified by their black and white strips. Zebras are very sociable and travel in herds to protect themselves from predators.

Habitat:

Zebras are usually found in plains and grasslands of East and Southern Africa.

Notes:

Believe it or not, I really did see this! I was in West Virginia with my boyfriend and his family at Mountain Meadow Hunting Preserve. This zebra was the owner's daughter's! She also has a pig and a pony.
