Description:

Golden thorax and abdomen with black and white banding linear on thorax and lateral on abdomen; clear wings slightly longer than body; length 15mm? eyes often reflect very bright green, red or other colours depending upon angle of light source; separation between eyes indicates female.

Habitat:

Open dry sclerophyll forest to grasslands with flowers. This one resting upon 'Queen Anne's lace' (introduced, naturalised.
