Field Notes

Notes:

We saw lots of nice robins today. They were super bold — one even hopped on to my boot. They'd approach when we were breaking, and if we stirred up the leaf litter they'd have a party eating all the lice, and millipedes, and gnatty things. We saw one particular robin start tapping/pummeling one foot on the soil — and this would increase in intensity until the foot was vibrating. We thought it might be vibrating/frightening its prey out of cover. It was amazing to watch — like the one foot was being fast-forwarded. :-)
