Description:
The nutria (sometimes called Coypu) resemble a large rodent or a beaver with a small tail. One of the most apparent characteristics of the nutria is it's big yellow-orange buckteeth. The nutria is a non-native invasive species in San Marcos.
Habitat:
Nutria live in burrows along waterways. They are originally from South America but have introduced to all parts of the globe by fur ranchers.
