Field Notes

Description:

Very tiny small white flowers with green spots on the petal tips which grow from a slender stalk with lily-like dark green leaves Flowers appear in winter or early spring.

Habitat:

Originally belongs to Europe and Russia and grows very well under trees or near ponds where soil is moist or boggy.

Notes:

Though I have been visiting the area where these are growing almost daily for the past 4 years, this is the first time I have seen these.
