Description:

Uh-oh, according an an old wives tale the blacker the wooly bear the more severe the coming winter. Haha, just kidding, they're talking about three different species; the virginia tiger moth, the isabella tiger moth, and this one, the giant leopard moth caterpillar. Also known as the giant woolybear, It's neat that wooly bear caterpillars have such an interesting myth about them. I've never seen a leopard moth adult, but they are beautiful.
