Description:

A breeding pair foraging for nesting materials. The female is on the top right with nesting materials. Females can be distinguished from males by their white eyes. Males have dark eyes. These are the smallest songbirds in North America at 11 cm (4.3 in) in length.

Habitat:

Spotted in a riparian forest at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge
