Field Notes

Description:

About 12 mm long, this narrow beetle had shiny black elytra with two white bands. The base of the elytra also had white markings which formed a "T" when the wings were closed. The black thorax was covered with dense short setae. head and eyes were also black. Antennae were a pale brown. Legs were a darker brown.

Habitat:

Spotted on an acacia wattle in a bushland reserve ( Glenfern Valley)
