Description:

This Barn Owl is from Mountsberg Conservation Raptor Centre. "Jazz" is a half North American, Half European Barn Owl. Both of her parents were "imprinted" by humans and she will spend the rest of her life living in captivity.

Habitat:

Barn Owls are the most widely distributed of the Owl species.

It really was. I received an "raptor adoption" for christmas this year. As a thank you for sponsorship, I visited with this Barn Owl, a Shriek Owl, a Juvenile Bald Eagle, a couple of Kestrels, and a Great Horned Owl. It was an awesome day. More photos coming soon!
