This is same Indian Tortoise beetle.. Common in Western ghats and its parallel ranges in Kokan hills. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/11586194
:( No luck. It looks like Atul has the same/similar spotting but he doesn't have an ID yet either. Here's the link http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7894464 You may want to watch it from time to time to see if he gets an ID later.
I've seen it referred to as a Yellow Tortoise Beetle but I can't find a reliable resource yet. I'll keep looking :)
Hi Cindy ...I have a another unknown bug spotting ...can you help to identify this as well .It looks like golden tortoise beetle to me ....
