Field Notes

Description:

Small (12mm across) spider with pale yellow semi-translucent legs thorax head, a dark median strip on head and thorax, some tiny dark flecks on legs, a chunky looking almost triangular (like a wedge of cheese) abdomen of opaque creamy yellow with a distinctive tan and orange tattoo.

Habitat:

Tall dense eucalyptus forest (national park) very near running water; area had many water plants and lots of tradescantia.

Notes:

Yet to ID... similar in size and habit to the vee spider?
