I was thinking the same about the red color, C.Sydes. I checked the link you recomended but I don't find the bird....so, I will check the wikipedia link... :) Thanks for the link Malcolm...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_birds_of_Colombia This is a list of all Colombian birds, with links to descriptions which mostly have pictures. I would suggest starting with Troupials and allies, then spreading out from there if you cannot find it.
I've been searching the web a bit but I can't find any Icterus species with the red eye wattle that this bird appears to have
Golden Orioles (genus Oriolus) are species of Europe/Africa/Asia. The New World has the genus Icterus, (which Wikipedia describes as a good example of convergent evolution). There are 10 species in the genus Icterus listed for Colombia in www.oiseaux.net, some of which are called orioles as popular names
