Species ID Suggestions

Comments (6)

One month later I've taken pics 2, 4 and 6. Pics 3 and 4 are the same specimen and they seem to me to be all the same species at different ages.
Clive, thanks for your feedback. Pic #1 is taken when I turned the fallen branch over. These three are growing on the same branch of dead pine. The two pics (1 and 3) are similarly bright underneath and paler, appearing sun bleached on the top. But Pic#2 being the same species is totally my guess and seems premature. I will separate pic #2 into a separate as I agree with your suggestion. For spotting 1 and three I will return next week and take extra pics to provide more data.
That's stunning colour in #1. Is it how you found it or did you turn it?
Good to know...I haven't seen such vibrant colors underneath like that before...will start looking there in the future!! ;)
Thanks sarah. I think these are all the same species because they were together. The first pic is the underside and has the strongest color.
Hey Martin..beautiful specimins of fungi!! Aren't they three separate kinds? If so, you can post them individually & they'll count as three spottings instead of one!!
