Description:

The female purple finch has brown upperparts and a distinctive white stripe above the eye. White underparts with brown streaks.

Habitat:

Spotted in eastern Washington. Fire damaged woods in the South Cle Elum Ridge of the Cascade Mountains. Above 2000 ft.
