Field Notes

Description:

Pawgwa, is a 3 year old (Juvenile) Bald Eagle. She lives at the Mountsberg Conservation Raptor Centre. At 4 months old she fell out of her nest and broke her wing. This injury never healed properly so she cannot fend for herself in the wild and must live her life in captivity. Once she reaches 5 years of age she will have the adult colouring - white head and light eyes.

Notes:

You might notice her feathers look dark and wet...this afternoon was especially sunny and warm for February and Pawga had a bath outside :)

Yes she is. It will be awesome to watch her feathers change as she gets older.
