Description:

about 3 - 25 cm in szize; Pleurotus ostreatus, the oyster mushroom, is a common edible mushroom

Habitat:

death fallen tree nearby the river Danube;
The oyster mushroom is widespread in many temperate and subtropical forests throughout the world, although it is absent from the Pacific Northwest of North America, being replaced by P. pulmonarius and P. populinus. It is a saprotroph that acts as a primary decomposer of wood, especially deciduous trees, and beech trees in particular. (Wikipedia)

Look at this variation of the Pleurotus cornucopiae...as i said, they vary strongly by conditions. But you're right, it's still a guess.

Thanks lars for the suggestion. I will go out agian and check it at the fungis if it fits to Pleurotus pulmonarius. Pleurotus cornucopiae does not really fit I think. But your proposal helped me to ID my "http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7676926" more correctly (Pleurotus pulmonarius) I think. That spotting does not have a real peduncle.

Could also be a Pleurotus pulmonarius or a Pleurotus cornucopiae - both come with the same colors; the Pleurotus cornucopiae varies from brownish to greyish (depending on regional conditions and light)
