Description:
Queens and workers are both black with a yellow thorax and first abdominal segment, males have a yellow face and head.
Habitat:
Very general, including intensively farmed areas, suburbs, and highly urban areas such as downtown Chicago and Manhattan.
Notes:
The common eastern bumblebee is the most often encountered bumblebee across much of eastern North America.
