Field Notes

Description:

One of a few critically endangered species the Singapore Zoo has been breeding! They are free roaming animals living at the entrance of the zoo.

Habitat:

Can only be found in South America but this family of cotton-top tamarins (including 2 kids who are about a year old and have been born in the Singapore Zoo) were spotted in the Singapore Zoo.

Notes:

These stylish tamarins have been facing the threat of extinction as rampant deforestation is causing the loss and destruction of their habitats.

thanks hans.new! it was really interesting that they are such curious animals!
great shots, fascinating animals
aren't they! they do not perceive us humans as threats and enjoy nibbling on their food in photogenic positions near their adoring fans (squealing visitors)!
