Description:

Could be T. aurantia or mesenterica. Most likely the second since it is not found predating other fungi. Is a jelly fungus of gelatinous, orange-yellow fruit body, which can grow up to 7.5 cm (3.0 in) diameter.

Habitat:

It grows in crevices in bark, appearing during rainy weather.
This fungus occurs widely in broadleaf and mixed forests and is widely distributed in temperate and tropical regions that include Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America.

Hi Alex, Thanks for the info. I have removed it from slime molds mission. I also thought it could be aurantia because indeed there are the fungi that it parasitizes around but how can I tell apart from mesenterica when is not growing on another fungus?

hi again, marta this is actually no slime mold, but a true fungi. And maybe more related to the hairy stereum spotting from you, Above you mentioned : T. aurantia or mesenterica !! you have many stereum hirsutum in your area, which's myzelium gets parasitizes by tremella aurantia.!!
