Field Notes

Description:

Great Horned Owl. Caught it winking at us. Mid-morning, probably it was just sleepy.

Habitat:

Perched on a cottonwood limb in a Willow-Cottonwood riparian gallery forest, very close the Rio Grande in Albuquerque's south valley.

Notes:

Weather was clear and warm, no wind.
