Field Notes

Description:

Honeycomb or sponge-like tan cap with an irregular shape. The stem was yellow/cream colored and was hollow. I think these are yellow morels, but am not sure.

Habitat:

Spotted along the side of a nature trail in a mostly deciduous forest.
