Description:

Large moth larva. Blue green with black and orange horns and spines. Orange head. Two black spots behind head and black legs.

Habitat:

Found in a flood plain forest with many species of large hardwood trees.

Notes:

Larva of the Regal Moth. This larva fell out of the trees onto a boardwalk we were working on. After I took pics it crawled off the boardwalk, fell on the ground, then crawled off into the leaf litter.
