Description:
Common buckeye butterflies are colored mostly brown with orange, black, white, and blue. The forewing features two orange bars and two large black eyespots outlined in orange. The hindwing has two eyespots, with the upper one being the largest and containing a magenta crescent. They also exhibit green overtones and have wings that span between 2 and 2.5 inches.(Wikipedia)
