Description:

dull green and yellow, was bathing in my waterfall pond. I am thinking maybe a bunting? but hadn't seen this one in my yard before and am not sure.
sorry for the fuzzy photos, but this was taken out my double paned storm window as I didn't want to scare it off.

Thank you, and wow Liam, sure hope I get to see one in breeding plumage!
He truly is beautiful in breeding plumage, Mary! I was lucky enough to have a cooperative male hunting in my yard last April. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7003820
Thank you again Liam..I must keep my eyes open to see if it returns this year. Would love to see him dressed him red! http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Summer_Tanager/id/ac
The yellow flange at the base of the bill makes it a juvenile, not female. Scarlet Tanagers are out of range for Florida, while Summer Tanagers are common Summer residents.
