Description:
This medium sized male perching duck is very colorful and has a crest that raises when alarmed (fourth image). Its plumage is iridescent with a white outlining of the crest and around the neck. Its eyes are bright red, chest reddish brown, underside is tan and wings range from green to purple. The male's call is a rising whistle, "jeeeeee". Habitat:
This is our pet but this species can be found year round in the area.
