Description:

The Western Gray Squirrels are flecked, dark gray on their backs and whitish fur on the abdomen. According to Wikipedia they are "...listed as extirpated in some California areas, the Western Gray Squirrel in southern California is generally found only in the mountains and surrounding foothill communities."*

Habitat:

This little guy lives in the trees. They build nests with sticks and twigs.

Notes:

This little guy was very annoyed at us. He ran up a tree and barked at us for a while. His leaping was graceful.
