Should be japanese cherry based on the colour.
In europe the trees have this flowers are geneus Prunus sp. Here the first flowering tree is Prunus dulcis and the flower is similar.
looks like you put your foot in the right place!! It is not only Slime Molds only that you know about! thnx again!
