Field Notes

Description:

I spotted three of these beautiful ladybugs today. They are smaller than the seven-spotted ladybug and about the size of the cycloneda species. "It is actually a subspecies o f Coccinella Trifasciata - the Three-banded lady beetle (everything-ladybug.com)."

Habitat:

Plant along the Iron Horse Trail, San Ramon, CA.
