Description:

It is a species of bird from the family of the cockatoos (Cacatuidae) and member of the genus Cacatua. It is a frequent and valued species as a pet.It is a large cockatoo, measures about 50 cm and weighs around 900 g. The females are slightly larger. Their plumage is white, with a yellow crest of long feathers; and with certain yellowish hues under the wings and tail. The wings are broad and rounded. The beak and legs are blackish grey

Habitat:

It is distributed through the tropical and subtropical forests of Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. It has been introduced into New Zealand, Palau, Singapore and Puerto Rico

Notes:
