Notes:

Lichen Field Notes
We went outside around noon and the temperature kept dropping because when we first went outside it was 2 degrees C, but when we were going inside, the temperature was 1.7 degrees C. When we went outside there was snow on the ground and it was kind of icy. Also, it was really cold and windy. Temperature: 1.7 degrees celsius, Time: 12:00 noon, Wind speed: 20mph, Gusts: 30mph, Snow:15cm. I think our lichen is in the foliose family and it is Flavoparmelia caperata (Parmelia caperata)because we found our lichen on the bark of a tree. The color of it was light green, and it was fluffy and kind of soft.
