Description:
The Common House Spider, also known as the American House Spider, is mostly indigenous to North America. House spiders are cobweb spiders and catch prey by sensing the vibrations when insects become entangled in their webs. These are beneficial spiders eating flies,
mosquitos & other pests, although this one was spotted preying on an Assassin bug nymph... Not so beneficial on this particular day.
Habitat:
North America. Vegetation, walls & fences.
