Description:

The European robin (Erithacus rubecula) is a small insectivorous passerine bird. Around 12.5–14.0 cm in length, the male and female are similar in colouration, with an orange breast and face lined with grey, brown upperparts and a whitish belly.

Habitat:

It is found across Europe, east to Western Siberia and south to North Africa; it is sedentary in most of its range except the far north.
This one was observed in an opening in a mixed forest with pine trees and Holm oaks

And they look so fragile that it always surprise you to find them so active and conspicuous in the middle of the hard winter, tch-tch-tcheering to every passer by.
Yeah, robins are one of the few things that stick around in the winter! And they're so brightly coloured, you can't miss them! This picture is adorable, what a cute fuzzy little guy :)
I've seen a lot of Robin pictures lately in Project Noah. Not much else to photograph around during the crude winter!! At least in Europe!
