Field Notes

Description:

Our mission was to identify Lichen. It was 4˚C outside when we did our investigation. When we did our investigation there was snow on the ground but not on my lichen. This lichen was found about 1 meter up an alive tree. I found this lichen on a tree that was on the edge of the forest. The lichen I found I believe is Flavoparmelia caperata. I think this because they share similar characteristics. The Flavoparmelia Caperata is flaky, like the lichen I found. Also, The lichen I found grows on trees like the Flavoparmelia Caperata. And they both have the same greenish color.
