Flavoparmelia caperata-
Kingdom- Fungi
Division- Ascomycota
Class- Lecanoromycetes
Genus- Flavoparmelia
Species- Flavorparmelia caperate
Common name- Common Greenshield
The Common Greenshield is yellow/green, with rounded, overlapping, irregular, lobes. The thallus of the lichen seem to be foliose, or leafy.

Temperature- 4˚c
Windspeed- 24 kph
Snow depth- 15cm
Time- 8:00 am
Weather- overcast
North America, and it mostly grows on tree trunks. Found in Massabesic Middle School Campus, E. Waterboro, Maine, trail in the woods near the road.

Notes:

The lichen was found on the tree about eye-level. It appeared soft, and wrinkly. The picture shows the same characteristics of the Common Greenshield.
