The color of the lichen is a light green/brown and was found on a tall tree. It was found in the forest of Massabesic Middle School on Jan. 18, 2012. It seems easy to break off and looks and feels crunchy. It is large and covered almost the whole tree.

Found In: Temperate decidous forest
Location: 134 Old Alfred Rd.
Time of Year: Winter, January 18
Weather Conditions: Snow on the ground, cold, and sunny

Notes:

The lichen was found in the forest of the Massabesic Middle School, and on a tall tree. The lichen was crunchy and seemed easy to break off.
