Field Notes

Description:

Zosis geniculata (Olivier, 1789). This spider belongs to the family Uloboridae. It is an Orb-weaver, but the web of this spider was difficult to see and photograph because it was in a very dark corner. Part of the web can be seen in the second photo.

Habitat:

This Grey House Spider was spotted, during a cleaning session, inside the rice mill in a dark corner behind the engine.

An earlier spotting of the same species - https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/199626327
