Most of the bananas in Turkey would be Musa acuminata (cultivate Grand Nain) and Musa x paradisiaca (cultivate Dwarf Cavendish). But with all these cultivate and hybrid forms it is quite tricky to get an overview about all these species. The first bananas were introduced in Turkey about 1920 from Egypt.
